AirHub, a Groningen-based company specializing in drone operations software for security, defense, and infrastructure, has raised €4.4 million in a Series A funding round, supported by Keen Venture Partners, Runway FBU, Lumaux, and LUMO Labs.
- Established in 2020 by Stephan van Vuren and Thomas Brinkman, AirHub develops software for managing drone operations in complex, mission-critical environments.
- The company’s core product, the AirHub Drone Operations Center, provides a unified platform to plan, execute, and monitor drone missions, integrating flight control, real-time video feeds, workflow management, compliance tracking, and post-flight reporting.
- The system supports both manual and automated drone operations, including remote dock flights, and offers features such as pre-flight risk assessments, map-based mission planning, and centralized fleet management.
- AirHub’s platform also enables secure data handling, with options for EU-based cloud storage or on-premise deployment, ensuring operational control and regulatory compliance across public safety, security, and critical infrastructure sectors.

Details of the deal
- AirHub will use the €4.4 million funding to grow its international team, advance the Drone Operations Center, and introduce two new offerings: MilHub, targeting defence missions, and SecHub, designed for security operations with counter-drone capabilities. The capital will accelerate product development and reinforce AirHub’s role as a trusted European software provider for critical drone operations.
