Ghent-based Donna raises $4.8M to transform field sales with agentic AI

Ghent-based startup Donna builds an AI assistant that automates and supports field sales work, has raised  $4.8 million seed round led by Frontline Ventures, with support from Fortino Capital, WeLoveFounders, Syndicate One, New School, and Everywhere Ventures.

  • Founded in 2023 by Nicolas Christiaen, Xander Blomme, and Jonas Deprez, Donna develops an AI assistant designed specifically for field sales teams. 
  • The company builds a multimodal system that listens to sales conversations, interprets context in real time, and automates administrative work such as note-taking, CRM updates, follow-up drafting, and meeting preparation. 
  • Donna integrates with major CRM platforms, including Salesforce, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and HubSpot, to keep customer data accurate and up to date. By capturing every interaction and providing guidance before, during, and after meetings, the platform gives sales managers visibility into field activity and helps reps focus on selling rather than admin tasks.

Details of the deal

  • Donna will use the new funding to strengthen its product and accelerate global expansion. The team plans to deepen its AI capabilities, hire across product and go-to-market roles, and scale operations in Europe and the US. 
  • With hubs already in New York, London, and Ghent, the fresh capital will fuel faster growth, sharper product execution, and broader adoption among field sales teams worldwide.
