Zurich-based startup Connectome Health, emerging from stealth, develops AI-driven tools to track and interpret brain function, has raised $2 million in a pre-seed round led by Redstone.
- Established in 2026 by Rufus Mitchell-Heggs and Lucas Scherdel, Connectome Health builds a platform that quantifies brain activity over time. It gathers data from non-invasive devices, maps results against personal baselines, and highlights meaningful deviations while adjusting for normal fluctuations.
- The system responds to influences like sleep, stress, and engagement, offering insights into the effects of lifestyle and environment on mental processes.
- Applications span elite performance, preventive healthcare, and research, allowing long-term tracking, population analysis, and validation of cognitive endpoints. Its suite includes modules for data capture, validated measurement, baseline modeling, cohort comparison, workflow integration, and customized partner models.
- The platform delivers a structured, evidence-based view of brain function, enabling informed monitoring and interpretation of cognitive change.
"I wanted to create a barrier-less system that enabled anybody to reliably observe changes in their brain’s function, understand and act on those changes more easily. We wanted to make brain function measurable in the same way routine blood testing has become," explains Lucas Scherdel, co-founder and CEO of Connectome Health.

- The round saw support from Octopus Ventures, Nodes Ventures, The Players Fund, Como 1907, and angel investors Reece Chowdhry, Amelie Guyot, Adam Caplan, Simon Schultz, Bernardo Barron, Idir Berg Ould-Saada, Joe Neale, and Johannes Wittmann.
- With the fresh capital, the firm aims to accelerate development of its brain measurement platform, expand deployment with partners, and advance research into practical applications for tracking and improving cognitive function.
