Compri raises €3.2M seed round to build AI-powered procurement teams

Milan-based startup Compri, which develops AI-powered procurement software for industrial companies, has raised €3.2 million in a seed round led by Picus Capital, bringing its total funding to over €5 million.

  • Founded in 2024 by Edoardo Arbizzi and Edoardo Gava, Compri builds an AI workforce for procurement and supply chain management in industrial companies.
  • It deploys autonomous agents that connect to existing enterprise systems such as ERPs, email, and document platforms, and execute operational tasks across the procurement cycle.
  • These agents handle activities like supplier sourcing, RFQ coordination, order tracking, compliance monitoring, and spend analysis, while interacting with internal systems and external data sources to carry out actions such as updating records, sending communications, and managing workflows with optional human approval.

Details of the deal

  • The round also included participation from Shapers, Italian Founders Fund, DFF Ventures, and a group of private investors.
  • With the fresh capital, the firm will further develop its AI procurement platform, scale its team, and expand its presence across European and international industrial markets, while continuing to help manufacturers automate purchasing workflows and improve spend visibility.
