Biolevate lands €30M to scale AI platform for life sciences

Paris-based life sciences AI company Biolevate has raised €30 million in a Series A round co-led by RAISE France and Orange Ventures, with participation from MSD Global Health Innovation Fund, Station F, and existing investor EQT Ventures.

  • Founded in 2024 by Joël Belafa and Nathan Chen, Biolevate develops an enterprise AI platform that turns scientific and regulatory knowledge into evidence-based and auditable workflows for life sciences companies.
  • The company initially focused on regulatory approval workflows but has since expanded its platform across the life sciences value chain, including research, clinical trials, health technology assessments, regulatory dossiers, drug discovery, and drug development.
  • Since its €6 million seed round in November 2024, Biolevate has grown to more than a dozen enterprise customers in production and increased its annual recurring revenue 20-fold over the past 12 months. The company has also doubled its team to 50 employees and plans to double its workforce again over the coming year.
  • Biolevate says its platform can run up to 100,000 AI agents concurrently, while helping customers accelerate systematic literature reviews and research synthesis by 16x and achieve an 80% efficiency gain in regulatory intelligence and compliance.
  • The company has also established partnerships with organisations including Sanofi, NVIDIA, and Microsoft, and has drafted seven patent applications, two of which have been filed in Europe.

Details of the deal

  • The fresh capital will be used to accelerate Biolevate’s international expansion, deepen its product capabilities, and scale deployments with life sciences organisations. The company is also expanding into the US with a new office in Boston.
