Beelzebub lands €3M seed to scale AI-native cybersecurity platform across Europe

Milan-based Beelzebub, which develops an AI-native cybersecurity platform designed to detect and respond to AI-driven cyber threats, has raised €3 million in a seed funding round led by United Ventures, as Vestbee was informed.

  • Founded in 2025 by Mario Candela, Beelzebub develops cybersecurity technology that uses AI-powered deception methods to help enterprises detect and analyze cyberattacks.
  • The company’s platform deploys realistic digital decoys that replicate real infrastructure, including servers, databases, APIs, cloud systems, and IoT environments, to attract attackers and identify malicious activity.
  • Once an attacker interacts with these decoys, the platform analyzes the intrusion, isolates affected systems, and generates automated threat intelligence reports to support incident response.
  • Beelzebub combines AI red teaming, honeypot technology, and autonomous security operations to detect vulnerabilities, identify lateral movement within networks, and provide organizations with real-time insights into emerging threats.

Details of the deal

  • The fresh capital will be used to expand Beelzebub’s research team, open new commercial offices in Rome and San Francisco, accelerate customer acquisition across Europe, particularly among NIS2-regulated organizations, and develop new technologies to protect AI agents directly.

"In Mario's technical depth and the founding team's execution we found a genuinely distinctive approach to that problem, and backing them this early reflects our conviction that the next chapter of cybersecurity will be written by companies of this kind," explains Massimiliano Magrini, co-founder and Managing Partner at United Ventures.
