Vilnius-based firm Backoffice secures €150k for hospitality operations platform

Backoffice, a software company building an operations management platform for the hospitality sector, has raised €150,000 in fresh funding from FIRSTPICK and Lost Astronaut to support its expansion across Europe.

  • Founded in 2025 by Erikas Pakėnas and Denis Stech, Backoffice focuses on simplifying day-to-day operations for restaurants, cafés, bars, and hotels. The platform replaces fragmented tools such as spreadsheets, messaging apps, and separate scheduling or payroll systems by consolidating core operational functions into a single system.
  • The product is used to manage scheduling, shift changes, time tracking, documents, internal communication, and labour cost monitoring.
  • Employees can log working hours, swap shifts, and access work-related documents, while managers operate through a shared dashboard to build schedules, monitor compliance, and track real-time labour and performance data across one or multiple venues.
  • The platform is already in use across more than 40 locations in Lithuania, ranging from Michelin-level restaurants to late-night bars. Among the venues using the system are Džiaugsmas, Pleassurie, Tempo, Ahha, Meating Room, Burro, Momo Grill, and Pacai. Roughly 500 users are currently active on the platform.

Details of the deal

  • The fresh capital will help Backoffice scale its operations across Europe and further develop its platform, with a focus on unifying core tools such as scheduling, payroll, compliance, and communication into one integrated system for hospitality businesses.

“We see the potential for this product to become infrastructure for the entire sector," explains Marijus Andrijauskas, Partner at FIRSTPICK.
