Paris-based AI company Arlequin AI has raised €28 million in a Series A round co-led by redalpine and OTB Ventures, with participation from Bpifrance’s Defence Innovation Fund, Vsquared Ventures, 10x Founders, Xavier Niel, and ZEBOX, CMA CGM’s startup accelerator.
- Founded in 2024 by Hugo Micheron and Antoine Jardin, Arlequin develops AI technology for complex, high-stakes decision-making by analysing relationships across large and fragmented datasets, including documents, transactions, video, and operational data.
- The company is developing a new AI architecture based on topological neural networks, which are designed to learn from how data points are connected and capture complex, multi-way relationships.
- Arlequin’s technology is already used by governments and large organizations across Western and Eastern Europe, with applications spanning security and defense, criminal investigations, fraud and money laundering, cybersecurity, and information integrity.
- The company currently employs around 50 people and operates from Paris, London, and Berlin. It plans to open an AI lab in Silicon Valley by the end of 2026.
Details of the deal
- The company will use the funding to accelerate the development of its topological neural network architecture, expand its international team, and scale commercial deployment across Europe and worldwide.
