Helsinki-based VC firm Wave Ventures has launched its third fund, raising €7 million to support Gen Z founders across the Nordics and Baltics. Backers include the founders of Slack, Bolt, Skype, Wolt, and Supercell.
- Founded in 2016, Wave Ventures is a venture capital firm supporting Gen Z founders across the Nordics and Baltics at early stages. The firm has made over 50 first-round investments through its first two funds and backed nearly 80% of VC-funded Finnish startups led by CEOs under 30.
- Wave Ventures employs a team of 7 with offices in Finland, Sweden, and Estonia. Its portfolio includes Inven, Intergrid, Exa Laboratories (YC S24), Vetnio (YC W25), Paebbl, Normative, and Carbo Culture.
- Wave Fund III plans to grow across the Nordics and Baltics, investing in 3 to 10 new teams in each country every year. It will focus on early angel and pre-seed rounds, with investments up to €100,000.

- The fresh fund saw support from a diverse group of investors, including the founders of Slack, Bolt, Skype, Supercell, Wolt, Silo AI, and Smartly.io, as well as European early-stage VCs and family offices.
