Prague-based startup Filuta AI, which develops tools based on AI, has raised $4.2 million in a seed funding round led by Rockaway Ventures, with support from Tarpan Capital and Lion Beat Capital, as Vestbee was told.
- Founded in 2022 by Filip Dvořák, Filuta AI develops a platform based on composite artificial intelligence, combining symbolic and subsymbolic methods to address complex real-world problems.
- Its technology is designed to create autonomous agents capable of operating in digital simulations, with use cases in sectors such as gaming, aviation, automotive, and defense.
- The platform integrates symbolic AI, built on interpretable, rule-based models, with machine learning techniques like neural networks.
- This combination allows for systems that are both adaptable and explainable. Symbolic AI handles logical reasoning and causal inference, while subsymbolic methods manage pattern recognition and language processing. Filuta’s AI agents reduced a three-week manual game testing process to just two days.
Details of the deal
- The investment was led by Rockaway Ventures, a Prague-based venture capital firm that recently closed a €55 million fund to support late-seed and Series A technology startups. Additional backing came from Tarpan Capital and Lion Beat Capital.
"The Filuta AI team is targeting a clear problem area faced by game developers and enabling them to achieve significant cost savings. Additionally, we have found that this problem isn't unique to game developers, and so Filuta AI has the opportunity to reach an even larger market in the future," claims Max Palko, Principal at Rockaway Ventures.
- Filuta AI will use the $4.2 million to hire more experts and grow its team from 33 to 43 people. This will help them develop products faster, improve their AI tools, and grow the company.
"We will significantly expand our team, in September, we should grow from 33 up to 43 people, including 20 PhDs in mathematics and artificial intelligence and four professors specializing in artificial intelligence, who are recognized as internationally acclaimed leaders in their field," Filip Dvořák, founder of Filuta AI, commented.
