Dutch startup Clickdrive secures €750k to digitize driver’s license training

Rotterdam-based mobility startup Clickdrive has secured €750,000 in a seed funding round led by Graduate Entrepreneur Fund to digitize driver’s license training.

  • Founded in 2020 by Joost van Suijlekom, Jasper van Gent, and Roel Bloys van Treslong, Clickdrive is a digital platform designed to modernize and simplify the process of obtaining a driver’s license.
  • The platform connects learners with verified driving instructors and schools across the Netherlands, offering an all-in-one solution that combines practical driving lessons, theory courses, and intelligent scheduling tools.
  • Learners can easily book a trial lesson, receive a personalized lesson plan tailored to their needs, access theory support in six languages, and track their progress through a user-friendly online dashboard. Flexible monthly payment plans make the process even more accessible.

Details of the deal

  • The investment was led by Graduate Entrepreneur Fund, a Rotterdam and Delft-based venture capital firm that supports founders from the universities of Delft and Rotterdam, where the Clickdrive founders graduated, with ticket sizes ranging from €75,000 to €2 million.

"Driver education has long been fragmented, expensive, and outdated. Clickdrive is changing this by offering a fully integrated, tech-driven solution that makes learning to drive faster, cheaper, and more flexible for students — while empowering driving schools to become more efficient and grow," Graduate Entrepreneur Fund's team, commented on LinkedIn.

  • The seed investment will help Clickdrive expand in the Netherlands, grow its team, and improve its platform. The funds will also support the development of new features for driving schools and help the company prepare for international expansion.
