Notable funding rounds across the EU:

  • Gent-based AI-powered computer vision, Robovision, has raised $42 million in its latest investment round led by Target Global and Astanor Ventures.
  • German medtech Protembis has raised a €30 million Series B round to support the enrollment of their PROTEMBO Investigational Device in clinical trials.
  • Swiss distributed cloud provider Hive has raised €12 million Series Al in a deal led by SC Ventures.
  • Portuguese digital health startup Tonic App has closed a Series A investment round of €10.85 million co-led by BlueCrow Capital and Iberis Capital.
  • UK biogas tech company WASE has raised over £8.5 million led by Extantia Capital.
  • Denmark-based Scaleup Finance has secured $8 million in a pre-Series A round led by Inveready.
  • London-based AI hiring software company Metaview has raised $7M led by Plural.
  • French Firecell has closed a €6.6 million seed round in equity led by Ventech and Matterwave Ventures, accompanied by Bpifrance's Digital Venture fund and Bouygues Telecom Initiative.

New venture funds and VCs’ news:

  • Brno-based Purple Ventures has launched its second fund, total amounting at €40 million. It will invest in startups from the CEE region with teams in the EU, with tickets ranging from €250,000 to €750,000.
  • UK-based Ascension VC launched €19.8 million institutional impact fund. Ascension Fund III will invest in Tech4Good startups and founders leveraging technology to build more resilient societies.
  • 1991 Ventures has launched a £15 million fund to invest in Ukraine and the broader CEE region. It is a seed venture fund. It is sector-agnostic, with a focus on data, deeptech, govtech, civic tech, cybersecurity, fintech, mobility, and smart city.
  • Satgana, a global VC firm, has closed its first €8M fund to invest in climate tech startups throughout Europe and Africa.

CEE startup funding rounds & acquisitions:

  • OneNotary, a Ukrainian startup providing online notary services, has closed a $5 million Series A investment round led by Jackson Square Ventures. 
  • SP Tech Solutions has raised over €2.7 million (PLN 12 million) investment from Vinci HiTech fund. 
  • Polish recycling hardware startup Maas Loop has raised €1.2 million (over PLN 5 million) led by Aper Ventures, with participation from AIP Seed, ASP Capital, and Aleksander Szalecki.
