Serbian edtech startup Prepia has secured €1.5 million in seed funding led by Inovo.vc, with support from Silicon Gardens. The fresh capital will enable the company to enhance its technology and expand its team.
- Launched in 2024 by Viktor Pešić and Ivan Jurisic, Prepia is an AI-powered, mobile-first platform designed to help professionals prepare for certification exams in healthcare, IT, business, and other fields.
- The founders developed the platform after finding traditional study methods outdated and inefficient. Prepia uses AI to create personalized study paths, identify knowledge gaps, and deliver quiz-based content tailored for short attention spans and mobile use.
- The founders scaled Prepia’s revenue from zero to €1.2 million in under nine months; the platform now supports over 100 exams and has more than 50,000 users, boasting a reported 92% pass rate.
Details of the deal
- The fresh funding was led by Inovo.vc, a Warsaw-based venture capital firm that supports early-stage startups across Poland and the CEE region, investing between €500,000 and €4 million. Slovakia-based Silicon Gardens participated in the round.
"The future of education is being built by founders who understand both the technology and the pain points. Viktor and Ivan get it, and that's why we at Inovo.vc are excited to be part of this journey," explains Stefan Krstevsk, Investor at Inovo.vc.
- Prepia plans to use the fresh €1.5 million seed funding to expand its exam offerings, develop an AI tutor for personalized learning, and grow its team based in Belgrade.
- The investment will support scaling the platform to reach more users preparing for high-stakes certifications across IT, healthcare, and other sectors.
