Presto Tech Horizons and Outlander invested €3.15 million in DiffuseDrive, a company delivering Fortune 500s in automotive, aerospace, and robotics rapid, photorealistic data through physical AI, as was shared with Vestbee.
- DiffuseDrive was founded in 2023 by Hungarian entrepreneurs, Balint Pasztor, an engineer, and physicist Roland Pinter. They met at Bosch, united by a shared mission to solve data scarcity in autonomous systems after witnessing the limits of available and synthetic data firsthand.
- So, the co-founders started a company, DiffuseDrive, which develops a generative AI platform that focuses on creating realistic synthetic data, specifically photorealistic images, to train AI systems.
- The firm addresses the issue of insufficient high-quality data, which is crucial for training AI models in industries like autonomous driving, robotics, aerospace, and defence.
- Within a year, Pasztor and Pinter relocated from Hungary to San Francisco, quickly standing out by delivering enterprise-ready AI data at scale. Fortune 500 aerospace, automotive, defence, and robotics leaders were among the first to adopt.
"The era of generic synthetic data is over. We’ve solved a core business challenge, delivering scalable, realistic data solutions in hours, not years. Fortune 500 companies are already seeing the impact and ROI," claims Balint Pasztor, co-founder and CEO of DiffuseDrive.
Details of the deal
- The investment came from Outlander, a US-based investment management firm, whose Senior Partner Jordan Kretchmer will join DiffuseDrive’s board, and Presto Tech Horizons, a €150 million Prague-based venture capital firm.
"With the automotive industry needing to crunch ever-growing volumes of data to improve passenger safety, DiffuseDrive is not only positioned to thrive on a global scale, but also at the forefront of saving human lives across both automotive and defense," explains Vojta Rocek, Partner at Presto Tech Horizons.
- With the $3.5 million seed funding, DiffuseDrive aims to expand its operations from its new base in Silicon Valley and further develop its generative AI platform.
